Similar to our in depth clan conversations in Canton, MD, This Monday ID_ will host another clan conference. YOU BET YOUR SWEET ASS WE WILL!
As requested (promised) ID_ will be hosting another SKYPE conference call this week. I can’t promise that the MP3 recording will turn out however I will be attempting it once again.
On Monday July 21, 2008 @ 9pm EST on Skype (click the link to get a free copy). For those that cannot use a headset, but do have speakers, comments/questions will be accepted in written format. Add the username: ID_CLAN to your Skype contacts. Whomever adds this name to their contacts will be invited to conversation.
This weeks conference will drill down on the action steps needed to make this clan successful/fun for all involved once again. If you cannot make this conference BUT wish to give input/feedback, please do so in the designated thread (after the conference, I will link the thread here).
For those that cannot make it, BUT have ideas and do not take the time to express them, please do not come to me and say we aren’t trying. This is your opportunity to communicate to not only the leaders but the clan as a whole. Failure to participate falls on the members that choose that route.

Its been a few weeks since this years get together, and images/video are officially making their way to web. There may be a few more pics out there that you wish to upload. So I’ve enabled the “gallery” for you to add your own albums to the ID_Fest 2008 Category.

ID_’s official paid league ($35-$40) sign-ups have begun. Sign-ups are open to all members and “friends” of ID_. There will be 3 prizes (1st, 2nd & 3rd place).

Last night we hosted a clan conference via Skype. The conference was a major success in my mind, renewing interest as well as the ability of the clan to continue to grow (as we’ve become accustomed too). We had around 15 members show up for the conference. I appreciate those that could make it.
For those that want to review, or were having difficulty making the conference a summary has been posted.
As of today the calendar has been “re-implemented” and is now successfully feeding to the blog. See the “ID_Events” on the right side of the page.
A series of new contact sheets have been added to the boards today. We will be fine tuning the sheet to reflect our most active roster.
By this weekend, an outline of “action steps” will be posted for members to view.
As mentioned earlier, there will be a clan conference tomorrow night. For tomorrow nights conference, the topics of discussion will be as follows:

I will be the Proctor/MC for the evening. If you have questions, comments, concerns, or proposals, this conference will be the time to bring them up. Details on the “talk” rules will be given at the beginning of this discussion. Everyone will have a chance to talk/write.
As many of you may or may not be aware, this past week has been pretty “trying” for the clan. A formidable friend and long time member has parted ways with the clan. At this time, I don’t have specifics and I’m seeking to talk directly with the member, however it seems tensions have been on the rise for quite some time now. Since ID_ was founded in 2002, we have put friendship before any and everything.
With this said, after discussing everything with Yutz today, I’ve made a decision to close down the forums. The forums are the clan resource for communication, events and fun. I’ve been informed though, that during my absence (and I apologize for that, but literally I’ve only been in my home for 10 days over the past 2 months due to business projects) the very tool that we’ve grown to accustomed too has led to disruption and conflict within the clan.
For over a year and a half now, the clan has not seen much inner-turmoil or conflict amongst the members. To me that is awesome. It has allowed for us to grow and get to know many new friends/members. To me that is what the clan is all about. Since the turmoil in the forums has let to complications, I’ve decided to assist everyone on refocusing on what ID_ is really all about. Loyalty, trust, friendship and fun. Whether its on the boards, in game or in real life, our members have a bond. A bond that I hope people cherish and for those of you that aren’t familiar yet, I hope that the essence of what ID_ stands for will continue.
If you are available, I invite any and all individuals that are available, to join me in discussing the clan in an open forum starting tomorrow (Monday July 14, 2008) @ 9pm EST on Skype (click the link to get a free copy). Well ID_, the time has come to start scheduling this years ID_ Fest. Until now we’ve been dealing with loose scheduling, but know we’ve narrowed it down to two weekends. I’d like to get members who are thinking about coming to vote on two weekends to help us determine when the 6th Annual ID_ Fest 2008 will be occuring. Members in attendance this year should expect more of the same… Food, good convo, some competitive gaming (electronic & real world), paintball, and hangovers… For members that may not be able to make it, BUT will have an interest in seeing whats going on at the Fest, I will be trying to set up streaming web cam with designated “sessions” for you to interact with members in attendance.
